Ryan Lail - Head Athletic Trainer

Ryan Lail is in his sixth year as the head athletic trainer for the Columbia International University Rams, after joining the Rams in the fall of 2018. Lail has over 11 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer both at the high school and college levels. At CIU, Lail oversees all sports programs working directly with the men's and women's soccer programs as well as baseball. Prior to joining CIU, Lail spent four years at A.C. Flora High School in Columbia, SC, where he supervised the sports medicine program for all 23 athletic programs.
Originally from Troutman, N.C., Lail received his bachelor's degree in athletic training with a minor in sports studies from East Carolina University in 2010. Lail went on to earn his master's degree in sport management from Florida State University in 2012.
Lail has served in multiple positions all across the country early on in his career. Positions including The University of Wisconsin – Madison women's soccer program, the Western New York Flash (now NC Courage), which plays in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), and the Gardner-Webb University Football program.
Lail resides in Columbia with his wife Kara and sons Austin and Parker.
